Who is West Wind Energy

As an Australian wind farm developer, WestWind Energy Pty Ltd is dedicated to the development, construction, operation and management of wind farms and other renewable energy projects in Australia.

The establishment of WestWind Energy took shape in 2003 from the idea of expanding the activities of the WestWind Group of companies internationally. At the invitation of the Victorian and Federal Governments the potential for establishing a new business in Australia was investigated and WestWind Energy Pty Ltd was established in Victoria, Australia in 2004.

WestWind Energy is part of the WestWind Group of companies. The WestWind Group headquarters is based in Kirchdorf in North-Western Germany.

The WestWind Group was launched with the establishment of the Wind Park Lemke project in the community of Marklohe in Germany in 1998. What started as a private project quickly led to a thriving business. The idea of cooperating with investors to combine profitability and environmental protection has proven to be successful. So far, 54 wind farms have been developed and 197 wind turbines have been commissioned in Germany by the WestWind Group. Today, well over 420MW of wind energy projects have been delivered by WestWind in Germany and most of them are operated under the company’s management.

How the credit is worked out

The average electricity consumption for a household in Victoria is 14.3 kWh per day or 5,220kWh per annum. This equates to an annual amount of $1,600.00 p/a excl. GST that will be credited monthly to your customer account.

Any usage above this amount, will be required to be paid by the participant. The annual amount will be indexed in line with CPI for the life of the operational wind farm.

This offer is not transferable or redeemable for cash or other refund method. Any remaining benefit will be forfeited.

How will I get the credit?

Participants will be required to sign-up with Energy Locals. Once participants have processed a change to Energy Locals, credits will be added to their account monthly to offset electricity bills.
